Kingston native Patrick Mulloy, a political consultant, law professor and trade lawyer who served as an assistant secretary in the U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration during the second Clinton administration and as a senior staffer of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, will be keynote speaker at Misericordia University’s 88th annual commencement ceremony on May 17 at 2 p.m. in the Anderson Sports and Health Center on campus.
A baccalaureate Mass will precede the ceremony at 10:30 a.m. in the Anderson Center.
University President Thomas Botzman said Mulloy “epitomizes the generous spirit and industriousness of northeastern Pennsylvania residents’’ and can “outline how his own hard work in the classroom and in life has taken him around the globe, as he has worked with national and world leaders to ensure the public good.’’
