Sacha Grochowski and Matthew Marino were united in marriage on Oct. 12, 2013, at Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre, by the Rev. John Terry.
The bride is the daughter of Lawrence and Wanda Grochowski, Wilkes-Barre. She is the granddaughter of Catherine Grochowski, Wilkes-Barre; the late Lawrence Grochowski; and the late Theofil and Wanda Iwanowski.
The groom is the son of Rocco and Marlene Marino, Wilkes-Barre. He is the grandson of the late Katherine and Rocco Marino, and the late Mary and George Krupsha.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Melissa Merriman, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Coffee and Angela Grochowski, sisters of the bride, and Laura Jeffrey, sister of the groom.
The groom chose his closest friend, Michael Thomas, as his best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Jasulevicz and Raimondo Illiano, friends of the groom, and Sean Jeffrey, brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride and groom chose Addison Merriman, niece of the bride, as flower girl. Connor Boyle, nephew of the bride, was chosen as ring bearer. Ushers were Lenny Martin and Thomas Rowley, friends of the groom.
Scripture readings were given by Jess Alaimo and Rachel Leggieri, friends of the bride, and Devon Grochowski, cousin of the bride. Offertory gifts were presented by Matthew Wiedlich and Stephanie Quinn, friends of the bride and groom.
An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at Irem Club House, Dallas. The bride was honored at a bridal shower given by her mother and bridesmaids at Rodano’s, Wilkes-Barre. The parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner at Leggio’s, Plains Township.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of GAR Memorial High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bloomsburg University in 2010. She is employed by Geisinger as a registered nurse.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from King’s College in 2011. He is employed by C3i, Inc. as a human resources generalist.
The couple was gifted with a honeymoon in the Bahamas by Melissa and Taite Merriman, sister and brother-in-law of the bride.
