WILKES-BARRE — With wit, a wink, and a smile, the Irish Rovers return to the U.S. in 2014 for their “Farewell to Rovin” tour and one stop will be the F.M. Kirby Center for the performing Arts.

The Rovers have captivated audiences since 1964 and will appear at the Kirby on Aug. 24th at 7 p.m. Tickets for this one-night-only farewell event are on sale and can be purchased at the Kirby Center Box Office, online at www.kirbycenter.org or by phone at (570) 826-1100. Tickets are $27.00 and $37.00 plus fees. Groups purchasing 10 or more tickets receive 10 percent off.

After more than 25 years, the band also returned to the small screen with two television specials, both now available on DVD: “Home In Ireland” and “Irish Rovers Christmas.”

Over the years, The Irish Rovers have become cherished music icons, have touched three generations of music lovers and brought Ireland into North American living rooms with their three television series that spanned 20 years.
