WILKES-BARRE – The Christmas season officially kicked off Saturday afternoon when Santa made his big arrival as he flew in town to close out the Christmas Parade.

Hundreds of children lined South Main Street watching all the marching bands, floats and musicians go by as they patiently awaited the jolly fellow’s arrival. He was accompanied by his faithful wife, Mrs. Claus.
Attending the parade is an annual tradition for more than a decade for Scott Franks and his family.
