(AP) Detroit’s state-appointed emergency manager is scheduled to continue testifying in a trial to determine whether the city is eligible to fix its finances in bankruptcy court.

Kevyn Orr is expected to resume testimony on Tuesday. A day earlier he ceded the witness stand to Gov. Rick Snyder, who hired Orr and authorized him to file for bankruptcy in July.

Each was grilled for a few hours on Monday.

The trial began last Wednesday and could end this week, but a decision on Detroit’s eligibility appears to be weeks away. The judge has set a Nov. 13 deadline for lawyers to file legal briefs on certain issues.

A key issue is whether the city held talks in good faith with creditors before the filing. Unions and pension funds say no.
