WILKES-BARRE — The Meyers High School Boys Basketball team will take part
in a parade from the school to Public Square on Saturday on its way to the
state championship in Hershey.
   
The city’s police and fire units will escort the team starting at 11 a.m.
    “We’re proud of these athletes and all they’ve accomplished this season,”
said Mayor Tom McGroarty in a press release.
   
McGroarty will present the Mohawks with the key to the city at 1:45 p.m.
today at a school assembly.
