I’D LIKE TO KNOW where I could get John Rocker’s address. I’d like to send
him a box of cigars. I’M CALLING ABOUT the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. I’m
considering buying season tickets next year and I’m just curious why they
don’t have any giveaways like the Red Barons do, such as hats and T-shirts.
Come on Wilkes-Barre, what’s the problem? I SEE WHERE Greg Skrepenak was
appointed to help the GAR boys basketball program on a volunteer basis. Well,
I think Mr. Skrepenak, if you don’t get picked up by a pro team next year, I
think it would be nice if you could volunteer to help Coach Khalife with the
football team this year. Maybe GAR could make the playoffs. They had potential
last year, but they couldn’t win the big games. So Mr. Skrepenak, how about
helping out GAR’s football team, your alma mater, the team you played with.
Editor’s Note: Greg Skrepenak also played basketball and baseball at GAR.
WHILE READING FANFARE, I’ve been reading all these comments from callers on
how the Penguins are going to win games. Did it every occur to anyone that
they are a brand new team? They haven’t played together that much yet, not
like some of these teams who have won championships. You have to learn a
players’ tendencies and styles. And when the Penguins learn each other’s moves
they will become a better team. But win or lose, I still go to the games and
I’m still rooting for you. Go Penguins.
