January 22, 2000 ames Hughes, of State Street, Nanticoke, died Saturday at
his home. Born in Benton, he was a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth
(McCollough) Hughes. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict.
He was proprietor of the J. Hughes Refrigeration Co., Nanticoke. He was a
member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his
brother, John; and sister, Mary. Surviving are his wife, the former Marlene
Poznak; daughter, Deborah, Lee Park; son, James M., at home; two grandsons;
brothers, Thomas, Fleetwood; and Kenneth, Orangeville; and sister, Betty
Ferko, Phoenixville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the
Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Clyde Lee officiating.
Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday.
