January 22, 2000 obert T. Stavish, of Korn Krest, Hanover Township, died
Saturday upon admission to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born May 18, 1950,
in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ann (Zalewski) Stavish.
He was a 1967 graduate of GAR Memorial High School. He worked for Bechtel
Corp., Salem, N.J., and was a welder at the PP&L power plant, Shickshinny. He
also worked for the M.K. Rail Corp, Mountaintop. He was a member of St.
Casimir’s Church, Lyndwood, Hanover Township. Surviving are his wife, the
former Cecilia Orloski; daughters, Renee Stavish, Wilkes-Barre; and Karen
Stavish, at home; brother, Joseph, Pleasant Valley, N.Y.; and nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Bednarski
Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Casimir’s
Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends
may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
