January 24, 2000 ndrew A. “Tommy Woodchuck” Yudichak, 92, of Laceyville,
died Monday in the Hospice Community Care Unit, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Sept. 27, 1907, in Larksville, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary
(Herman) Yudichak. He attended Larksville schools and in 1930 moved to
Laceyville, where he worked on the O’Mara Farm. He also worked for the state
of Pennsylvania and Procter & Gamble Co., Mehoopany. He was a member of St.
Anthony’s Church, Stowell, and a former member of St. Mary’s – St. Stephen’s
Parish Community, Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna
Brinzo and Mary Kowaleski; and brothers, Joseph, Thomas, Stephen and Albert.
Surviving are his sister, Rose Cembrock, of Baltimore; and several nieces,
nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth, with a Mass of
Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, Plymouth. Interment will
be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Lehman Township. Friends may call from 8 to 8:30
a.m. Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony’s Church or St.
Mary’s – St. Stephen’s Parish Community.
