January 24, 2000 rank J. Perch, 90, of White Haven, died Monday at Davis
Manor, Mountaintop. Born in Alden, Newport Township, he was the son of the
late Albert and Casimera (Olshefski) Perch, and a graduate of Bloomsburg
College. He was a school teacher in Dennison Township for 28 years, and in
White Haven schools until his retirement in 1973. He was a member of St.
Patrick’s Church, White Haven, the Retired Teachers of Luzerne and Wyoming
Counties, and the Senior Citizens of White Haven, and a was founding member of
the LOWLP Gun Club. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, the former Eleanor
Mizdail; sons, Eugene and Bernard, both of White Haven; and Henry, Birdsboro;
daughters, Joanne Fairchild, Weatherly; and Theresa Perch, Mohnton; three
grandchildren; brothers, Stanley and Jerome, both of White Haven; and Casimer,
South Plainfield, N.J.; and sisters, Adelia Sudu and Anna Hackney, both of
White Haven; and Bridget Liberski, Plains Township. He was preceded in death
by his brothers, John, Paul, Joseph, Adam and Anthony; and sisters, Mary Ann
and Stephanie Perch. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the
Joseph E. Lehman Funeral Home, Inc., White Haven, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church. Interment will be in the parish
cemetery, White Haven. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the White Haven Ambulance
Association, Towanda Street, White Haven, 18661.
