NEWPORT TWP. – A woman who suffered an anxiety attack and wandered from her
Newport Street home into nearby woods Monday night was found by a search party
about four hours after she was reported missing, police said.

The woman, described to be in her mid-30s, was found around 10 p.m. in the
area of the Centre Inn grove, less than a half mile from where she entered the
woods. Police believe the woman was flown by helicopter to Community Medical
Center, Scranton.
She was found conscious and her injuries were not considered life
threatening, police said. She was wearing jeans and a jacket, but was not
dressed appropriately for the weather, police said.

Her condition could not be determined late Monday night.
