January 23, 2000 Pauline Rizzo, of Tompkins Street, Pittston, died Sunday at
Mercy Hospital, Scranton. Born in Milano, Italy, she was a daughter of the
late Gaetano and Biagia (Tona) Noto. She came to America as a child and
attended Pittston schools. She and her husband owned and operated Rizzo’s Food
Market, Pittston, and were part-owners of the Moonlight Drive-In. She was a
member of St. Rocco’s Catholic Church, Pittston. She was preceded in death by
her husband, James; brothers, Joseph and Noffie; and sisters, Marion Orlando
and Grace Gianforcaro. Surviving are her son, Samuel L., Nuremburg; daughters,
Tina Wnorowski, Old Forge; Blesine Glazenski, Pittston; and Paulette Marriggi,
Old Forge; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services
will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Adonizio Funeral Home, Pittston, with a
Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church.
Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call from 7
to 9 this evening.
