The Pennsylvania Wildlife Federation has named state Sen. Raphael J. Musto,
D-Pittston, as Conservation Legislator for the Year 2000. Musto has authored
some of the state’s landmark environmental legislation, including the state’s
curbside recycling program, the nation’s largest.
   
Joan Clippinger, executive director of the federation, said Musto’s
strength is championing environmental causes in a bipartisan manner.
