January 26, 2000 atherine M. Burke, of Washington Avenue, Larksville, died
Wednesday at Balanced Care, Kingston. Born Nov. 5, 1919, in Larksville, she
was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Margaret (Carey) Burke, and a
graduate of Larksville High School. She worked for General Electric,
Philadelphia; the Boston Store, Wilkes-Barre; Worth’s, Plymouth; and for
Leslie Fay, Plains Township, until her retirement. She was a volunteer at the
Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, and a member of
the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Plymouth, and the parish Silver & Gold
Club. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene; and sisters, Elizabeth
Burke and Mary Deady. Surviving are her brother, Joseph, of Hudson, nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Saturday from the Williams
Funeral Home, Plymouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 a.m. in the
Church of St. Vincent de Paul. Interment will be in the parish cemetery,
Larksville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Memorial
donations may be made to the Church of St. Vincent de Paul.
