January 24, 2000 erald J. “Jerry” Horro Sr., of Beach Street, Edwardsville,
died Monday. Born in Nanticoke, he was a son of Joseph J. and Mary Ellen
(Hoyson) Horro, of Hanover Township. He attended Hanover Area High School and
was self-employed as a carpenter. Surviving are his wife, the former Holly A.
Keris, Edwardsville; sons, Dominic, West Pittston; and Gerald J., Jr.,
Edwardsville; daughters, Crystal L. and Lisa M., both of West Pittston;
brother, Joseph J., Buttonwood, Hanover Township; sister, Denise M. Swetts,
Sugar Notch; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 9
a.m. Friday from the George A. Strish, Inc., Funeral Home, Ashley, with a Mass
of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church,
Buttonwood. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 this evening and from 8 to 9 a.m. Friday. In lieu
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a family fund, c/o the George A.
Strish, Inc., Funeral Home, Ashley.
