January 26, 2000 eonard “Mooney” Lisauskas, 73, of Stark Street, Pittston,
died Wednesday at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township. Born April 21, 1926, in
Pittston, he was the son of the late John and Isabelle Lisauskas and a 1943
graduate of Pittston High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World
War II. He worked for American Chain & Cable, West Pittston; and Topps Bubble
Gum, Duryea. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duryea. Surviving are his
wife, the former Agnes Akulonis, with whom he celebrated their 48th wedding
anniversary Nov. 24; daughter, Diane Azaravich, Pittston; two grandchildren,
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Clark.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Kizis-Lokuta Funeral
Home, Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s
Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call
from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
