January 25, 2000 ouis F. Meleski, of Plymouth died Tuesday at the Department
of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was
the son of the late Louis and Frances (Marchlewski) Meleski, and was a
graduate of Hanover High School. He worked for the Tobyhanna Army Depot. He
was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served in the
European Theater. He was a member of St. Mary’s-St. Stephen’s Parish
Community, Plymouth; American Legion, Shawnee Post 463; Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 1425, Plymouth; and the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are
his wife of 54 years, the former Bernadine Radziszewski; daughter, Marie; and
sister, Ann Urban. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Gates. Private
funeral services will be at the convenience of the family from the S.J.
Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth. Interment will be in the parish cemetery,
Plymouth Township. There will be no calling hours.
