Editor’s note: Dallas Youth Basketball commissioners from the
seventh/eighth-grade boys, third/fourth-grade boys and fifth/sixth-grade girls
did not supply game results to The Back Mountain Leader.
   
Shannon Thomas scored the only points in overtime as the Dough Company
edged Burger King, 37-35, in Dallas Youth Basketball seventh/eighth-grade
action.
    Thomas finished with 18 points, and Kara Ringler tossed in 10. Nicole Macri
added five points for the winners. Sarah Pieczynski and fifth-grader Devon
Lacey had two points each.
   
Tam Morris led Burger King with a game-high 21 points, and teammate
Ashleigh King added 14.
   
Dallas Lions 55,
   
Josie Italian Water Ice 23
   

   
Rosalyn Wentko scored a game-high 27 points as the Dallas Lions cruised to
victory. Brooke Blase added 10 points for the winners, while Jennifer Konopki,
Samantha O’Brien and Nicole Allan had six points each.
   
Jodi Dickson led Josie’s with 14 points. Nikki Gelso added eight, and
Michelle Luksh had one.
   
Eye Care Specialist 40,
   
Dallas Rotary 33
   

   
Corey Patton led all scorers with 24 points to lead the winners. Halli
Williams added seven, while Megan Savage and Tiffany Gergel had four points
each.
   
Rebekah Clay led Dallas Rotary with 16 points, while Meredith Lacey scored
13 and Caitlin McGuire finished with four.
   
FIFTH/SIXTH-GRADE BOYS
   

   
Mike Wyberski and Brad Fagula combined for 36 points to lead Gordon
Insurance to a 52-37 victory against Wilkes-Barre Pallet Company in Dallas
Youth Basketball action. The win allowed Gordon Insurance to stay in a
three-way tie for first place.
   
Wyberski scored a game-high 20 points, and Fagula added 16. Ben Thomas
added nine points for the winners. Billy DeAngelo and Greg Jerzak added five
and two points, respectively.
   
Connor Lenahan led Wilkes-Barre Pallet with 14 points, while Kevan Housseni
added 11. Bobby Lenahan and Ryan Konopki added eight and four points,
respectively.

Eye Care Specialist 37
   

   
Adam Singer scored a game-high 20 points, and Adam King added 13 to lead
the winners. Teammate Brian Kerpovich added four points. Game information

Luzerne National Bank 21
   

   
Mike Race and J.J. Durr combined for 19 points to lead House of Nutrition.
Race finished with 11, while Durr added eight. Max Millington tossed in a
basket for the winners.

THIRD/FOURTH-GRADE GIRLS
   

   
Lyndsay Ellis scored six points to lead Dr. Jack Ellis to an 8-6 victory
against Rosenn, Jenkins and Greenwald in Dallas Youth Basketball action. Paige
Selenski added two points for the winners. Erica Slocum and Candice Bittner
led the defense.
   
Kristen O’Brien led Rosenn, Jenkins and Greenwald with six points. Megan
Hine, Katherine O’Brien and Amber Cahill led the defense.
   

   
Dallas American Legion 8,
   
Gilroy Realty 7
   

   
Alyssa Cybulski scored four points to lead American Legion Post 672. Kaley
Roberts and Shauna Phillips added two points each for the winners. Leading the
charge defensively were Jessica Flaherty and Lee Riccetti.
   
Gilroy was led by Erin Delaney’s six points. Bethany Mulhern added a foul
shot, while Jillian Spring and Abigail Mulhern played well on defense.
   

   
The Fieldhouse 8,

Erin Crossin scored the game-winning basket as The Fieldhouse came out on
top in an overtime thriller. Stephanie Ashley scored six points to lead the
winners.
   
Sara Kuffa and Kylee Besecker grabbed several rebounds for The Fieldhouse.
Jessie Fiske, Kayla Turchin and Morgan Kunkle led the defense. Dr. Diepietro
was led by Danielle Krawetz’s four points. Ceceilia Besecker added two points,
while Courtney Besecker and Dianna Morgan played well on defense.
   
Pace Physical Therapy 8,
   
Dallas Rotary 6
   

   
In a game not decided until the third overtime, Pace edged Rotary. Melissa
Gorski led all scorers with six points, while Rosemary Shaver added a basket.
Helping out on defense were Lindsey Davenport and Lauren Ziminski.
   
Allison Evans led Dallas Rotary with four points, while Kelci Gibbons added
two. Alexa Kirk and Rebecca Banks played well on defense.
