January 26, 2000 lorence J. (Faust) Leacock, 97, of Delaware Avenue, Akron,
Ohio, and a native of Nanticoke, died Wednesday at the Sumner on Merriman
Nursing Home, Akron, after a brief illness. Born Aug. 6, 1902, in Nanticoke,
she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Elizabeth (Cooper) Faust. She was
also preceded in death by her husband, John Carlton Leacock. Surviving are her
daughter, Barbara L. Eby, wife of Dr. Ronald K. Eby, with whom she lived for
the past 32 years; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren. She was the
last member of her immediate family. Memorial services will be on Saturday at
the Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Berwick, with the Rev. William F.
Tucker, retired minister of Berwick Christian Church, officiating. Burial will
be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery.
