Student charged with harassment
A 15-year-old student at St. Michael’s School in Wyoming County was charged
with harassment and criminal mischief after the boy struck a teacher’s aide
with a desk at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, state police at Tunkhannock said. State
police said the aide, identified as Larry Dimock, 47, of Laceyville, ordered
the youth to leave the room. The boy refused to leave, then threw two school
desks, one of which struck Dimock on the right arm. State police said the
other desk struck and damaged a metal storage cabinet. Dimock’s arm became red
and swollen after the desk struck him, state police said. Further information
was not available Wednesday.
