January 26, 2000 oseph V. Faux, of Tunkhannock died Wednesday at the
Carpenter Care Center, Tunkhannock. Born April 23, 1910, in West Wyoming, he
was a son of the late Arthur J. and Joanna (Vosburg) Faux. He attended the
Forest Grove School, West Wyoming, and worked in the lumber business all his
life. At the age of 86, he was working as a sawyer in area saw mills. He was
preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur, Jr., and Harry; sisters, Florence
Redmon and Joanna Rosengrance. Surviving are his sons, Joseph, East Lemon;
William, Tunkhannock; Arthur, Wilmer and Robert, all of Vernon; and David,
Oswego, N.Y.; daughters, Ethel Kidd and Donna Robinson, both of Tunkhannock;
23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild;
sisters, Alma Vincent, Wilkes-Barre; Glenna Chorba, Orange; and Joy Dickson,
Exeter. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka
Funeral Home, Inc., Tunkhannock. The Rev. Edwin A. Simmons, of the Lemon
United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Perrins Marsh
Cemetery, Centermoreland. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
