WILKES-BARRE – King’s College won seven of 10 bouts and defeated Muhlenberg
College, 36-9, in college wrestling on Thursday.
The win improved King’s, ranked 25th in the Brute/Adidas Division III
national poll, to 12-3.
Hanover Area graduate Jesse Martinez (157 pounds) and Mike Sweeney (165)
each had falls for the Monarchs.
King’s competes Saturday in the Lafayette College Invitational Tournament.
Women’s Basketball Delaware Valley 80 Wilkes 70
DOYLESTOWN – Katie Watkins led Wilkes University with 25 points in a loss
to Delaware Valley College.
Allison Pikulski added 18 points for the Colonels.
Delaware Valley College was led by Alisa DiBonaventura with 21 points.
Lebanon Valley 88 Marywood 67
SCRANTON – Steph Tigue scored 27 points and Miriam Anthony recorded 24 as
Lebanon Valley College defeated Marywood University.
Chrissy Bigler added 13 points for Lebanon Valley.
Piper Frick led the Pacers with 16 points, Melissa Barrett and Geralyn
Meehan both had 15 and Jamie Dennebaum scored 11 points. Women’s Swimming
Misericordia 50 York 45
Albright 78 Misericordia 17
DALLAS – The College Misericordia women’s swim team split a tri-meet with
York and Albright.
Triple winners for Misericordia were Kelley Flynn (200 free, 100 back and
200 medley relay) and Maureen Shovlin (50 free, 100 fly and 200 medley relay).
Debbie Weidow took the 200 IM and the 200 medley relay. Men’s Swimming York 61

DALLAS – The College Misericordia men’s swim team suffered losses to York
and Albright.
Ed Halloran recorded victories in the 100 fly, 100 back and 200 medley
relay.
Steve Keim, Tim Teague and Matt Brenner also made up the 200 medley relay
team.
