January 22, 2000 argaret F. Sipler, 76, of Coral Springs, Fla., died at the
Chesapeake Woods Center, Cambridge, Md. Born Jan. 15, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre,
she was a daughter of the late Allen Lee and Marian (Williams) Flock and was a
graduate of Sunbury High School. She attended nursing school at Wilkes-Barre
General Hospital and later became a registered nurse. She was a member of
White Haven United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and
directed choir; and Order of the Eastern Star, Lehigh Chapter. She had moved
to Avon Park, Fla., in the late 1970s and to Chesapeake Woods Center in 1997.
Surviving are her daughter, Marian Chambers, Coral Springs, Fla.; son, Oscar
C., III, Cambridge; five grandchildren; brothers, Allen W., Lewisburg; and
William F., Dallas; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be
at a later date in Laurel Cemetery, White Haven. Memorial donations may be
made to White Haven United Methodist Church.
