January 28, 2000 egina A. Porfirio, 65, of Memorial Street, Exeter, died
Friday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston, she was a daughter
of the late Camillo and Mary (Lello) Porfirio and a 1952 graduate of Exeter
High School. Before her retirement, she worked for Kresge’s, Pittston; the
California Flower Co., West Pittston; and last worked for the Gruen Co.,
Exeter. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church, Exeter. She was preceded in
death by her brothers, Louis and Joseph; and sister, Rose Porfirio. Surviving
are her brothers, Frank, Palermo, Fla.; and Alex, at home; sisters, Lucy
LaBar, Exeter; Angeline, at home; and Sylvia Smith, Exeter. Funeral services
will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Frank A. Gubbiotti Funeral Home, Exeter,
with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church. Interment will be in
St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Exeter. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
