Dino Deritis Sr. gives his children a starting push down a parking lot hill
at the former Wright’s Knitwear in West Hazleton on Tuesday afternoon. A group
of children had gathered to enjoy the first major storm of the season. On the
sled are Deritis’ children: Alexandra, 4, and Dino, 11. His son Franco, 9,
also joined in the fun.

Mike Campbell, 24, of West Hazleton, races through the borough side streets
Tuesday afternoon on a three-wheel all-terrain vehicle as Tammy Keris, 30, of
Larksville clings to his back.
Jim Christman, owner of Roads End Pub on East Broad Street in West Hazleton,
clears the walk in front of his business during Tuesday’s snowstorm. A statue
of Blues Brother Jake is above the entrance.
