Want to get out on those skinny, cross-country skis?
The weather has finally cooperated, and the following sites welcome
cross-country skiers. (Locations are in Luzerne County unless otherwise note.)

trail system, unplowed park roads and approximately 200 acres of rolling hills

Lackawanna State Forest

Twenty-four miles of trail access in Lackawanna County from two parking
lots along SR 2016 northwest of Thornhurst. The trail system contains many
interconnected trails with numbered sign posts at the intersections. This is a
snowmobile trail system that is also open for use by skiers. Map available.

No special trails are developed for this purpose in Lackawanna County, but
skiers use the campground roads and trails, as well as fields in the park.
