January 28, 2000 illiam S. Warnagiris, 69, of Heather Highlands, Jenkins
Township, died Friday at his home. Born in Wyoming, he was the son of the late
Wittie and Frances Waiksnis Warnagiris. He resided in Wyoming and Hopatcong,
N.J., before moving to Jenkins Township 14 years ago. He attended Wyoming High
School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Before retiring he
was employed 40 years by Varityper Co., Newark, N.J., and later for Medico
Industries Inc., Plains Township. He was a member of St. Casimir’s Church,
Pittston; Wyoming Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 396; Fraternal Order of
Eagles, Aerie 1965, Wyoming; American Legion Post 644, Swoyersville; and
Wyoming Hose Co. #2. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert; and
sister, Patricia Warnagiris. Surviving are brothers, Sylvester W., Port
Richey, Fla.; Paul W., Stroudsburg; Carl J., Wyoming; sister, Joann
Warnagiris, Union, N.J.; two aunts; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will
be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Metcalfe & Shaver Funeral Home, Inc., Wyoming,
with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Casimir’s Church.
Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call
from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
