January 28, 2000 ndrew Yuhas, 77, of Belle Mead, N.J., died Friday at his
home. He was born in Edwardsville and resided in Wilkes-Barre for 40 years. He
was a graduate of Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. He worked as a marketing
and sales representative for the Planters division of Nabisco Inc.,
Wilkes-Barre. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff
sergeant in the Signal and Transportation Corps. He was a member of St. Joseph
Church, East Millstone, N.J., VFW Post 2290, Manville, N.J., American Legion
Post 12, Somerville, N.J., and the Republican Club of Wilkes-Barre. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Joan. Surviving are his son, Drew, Pennington,
N.J.; daughter, Joan Ward, Buffalo, N.Y.; one grandson; brother, Peter,
Buffalo, N.Y.; and sisters, Helen Stanko, Buffalo, N.Y.; Ann Feldman,
Wilkes-Barre; and Susan Maczuga, Shavertown. Funeral services will be at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church, East Millstone, N.J. A second service
will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre,
with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be
in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
