January 30, 2000 mily V. (Marko) Sabol, of Inkerman, Jenkins Township, died
Sunday at the VNA Hospice Unit, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born March 17,
1929, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Nellie Marko.
She formerly worked for Consolidated Cigar Co., Pittston. She was a member of
St. John’s Slovak Lutheran Church, Nanticoke. Surviving are her husband,
Richard; daughters, Deborah Jones, Kingston; and Janet Wateski, Inkerman;
sons, Wayne, Plains Township; and Richard and Mark, both of Dallas; eleven
grandchildren; sisters, Anna Westawski and Mary Sivahop, both of Pittston; and
Catherine Kasaba and Josephine Yastremski, both of Plains Township; and
brothers, Leo, Plains Township; and Joseph, Wilkes-Barre. Funeral services
will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Slovak Lutheran Church, with the
Rev. John P. Kline officiating. Interment will be in Nanticoke Cemetery. There
will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made
to St. John’s Slovak Lutheran Church, Nanticoke. Arrangements are by the Earl
W. Lohman Funeral Home, Nanticoke.
