January 28, 2000 ustine (Buranich) Jadik, of Clarks Summit, died unexpectedly
Friday at her home. Born June 15, 1929, in Ransom Township, she was a daughter
of the late Peter and Anna (Sumple) Buranich. She was a 1946 graduate of
Newton Ransom High School. Prior to retirement, she worked for Brooks
Manufacturing, Old Forge. She was a member of St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox
Church, Old Forge. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and John
Buranich Sr.; and sisters, Mary Cislak, Irene Esposito, Kathryn Maximuk and
Theresa Kisha. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, John; son, John Jr.,
Baltimore, Md.; daughter, Tamara Williams, Allentown; brother, Samuel, Newton
Township; sisters, Anna Kopec, Orlando, Fla.; Sophie Tuttle, Chardon, Ohio;
and Olga Mazaleski, Newton Township; two grandchildren; and nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from the Semian Funeral
Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, with services at St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox
Church, with the Rev. David Mahaffey officiating. Interment will be in the
parish cemetery, Old Forge. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
today. Parastas services will be at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to
