January 31, 2000 uriel Baer, of Bertels Lane, Wilkes-Barre, died Monday at
Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born Oct. 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the
late Charles and Eleanor (Pech) Jacobson. She was a graduate of GAR High
School, and was a bookkeeper for the United Hebrew Institute. She was a member
of the United Orthodox, Ohav Zedek and Temple Israel synagogues, the Jewish
War Veterans Auxiliary, the Jewish Home in Scranton, Queen Esther Hebrew
Ladies Aid Society, the Jewish Community Center and the center’s Leisure
Lounge. Surviving are her husband, Robert; son, Steven Pulver, Wilkes-Barre;
daughter, Harriet Siglin, Shavertown, Kingston Township; two grandchildren;
and brother, Lawrence, Silver Spring, Md. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.
today from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc., Wilkes-Barre. Rabbi Meir
Rosenberg will officiate. Interment will be in Anshe Emes Cemetery, Plains
Township. Shiva will be from 7 to 9 this evening through Thursday evening at
the home of her daughter, Harriet Siglin, 364 Crane Road, Shavertown.
