MOOSIC – WNEP-TV reporter Keith Taylor, who was recently charged with
harassment, no longer works for the station.

Station manager Renee LaSpina would neither confirm nor deny reports that
Taylor was terminated. However, a receptionist who took a call Monday
afternoon said Taylor was no longer with the station.
“I just came in today and found out that he is no longer with us,” the
Channel 16 receptionist said.

Taylor has pleaded not guilty to a charge of harassment, a summary offense,
which carries a fine of up to $300. The hearing is scheduled for 8:20 a.m.
Feb. 23.

Taylor, 36, of Race Street, West Pittston, is charged with harassing his
former girlfriend, Josette Miles of Jenkins Township.

Neither Taylor nor his attorney Virginia Murtha-Cowley returned messages
Monday.

Earlier this month, Taylor agreed to the issuance of a four-month
protection from abuse order. The order directs Taylor to have no contact with
Miles. She sought the order, alleging Taylor repeatedly left “strange and
disturbing” notes at her home.

Following those incidents, Miles set up a hidden video camera to tape the
outside of her home. Police recommended that Miles file for an emergency
protection from abuse order following an incident at her home in the early
morning hours of Dec. 24.

Police said a video shows Taylor walking through trees and using a grill
lighter to light a candle on her front steps around 2 a.m. Police said they
plan to use the tape as evidence against Taylor during his court hearing
before District Justice Diana Malast, Plains Township, later this month.

Police said they also have letters, cards, gifts and photos as evidence
against Taylor.
