February 1, 2000 ladys A. Phillips, 99, of Tunkhannock, died Tuesday at
Greenly Personal Care, Tunkhannock. Born May 9, 1900, in South Eaton, Wyoming
County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Bodle and Mary Stroh Phillips. A
1919 graduate of Tunkhannock High School, she was a local historian and a
member of the Wyoming County Historical Society. She was secretary of South
Eaton Cemetery for more than 40 years and also was a trustee. She was a member
of Eaton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert M. and
Percy R. Phillips. Surviving are her sister, Erma Shotwell, Tunkhannock; and
several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from
the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, Tunkhannock. The Rev. J. Daniel Herron, of
Eatonville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in South
Eaton Cemetery, Tunkhannock. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
