A Kingston woman severely injured in a Christmas Day gas explosion and fire
in her home has been released from an Allentown hospital.
A Lehigh Valley Hospital spokeswoman said Maria Hladylowycz, 71, has been
discharged from the facility where she had initially been in critical
condition.
It could not be determined Tuesday if the woman had been transferred to
another facility.
Hladylowycz and her husband, Max, 86, were injured in the Dec. 25 explosion
and fire at their Lathrop Street home.
The blast that destroyed the home was fueled by a gas leak under the
sidewalk in front of the home, officials have said.
PG Energy spokeswoman Jennifer Cawley said Tuesday the investigation is
continuing into the cause.
