February 1, 2000 Margaret Ann Shinski, 86, of Plains Township, died Tuesday
at Little Flower Manor of the Diocese of Scranton, Wilkes-Barre. Born April
24, 1913, in Wyoming, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Magdalene
(Warneguris) Papeika. Educated in Wyoming schools, she formerly worked as a
seamstress in the Wyoming Valley garment industry. She was a member of St.
Francis Catholic Church, Miners Mills. She was preceded in death by her
husband, John; brothers, Peter, Bernard and William; and sister, Jean
LaFrance. Surviving are her son, Joseph, with whom she resided; daughters,
Theresa Dervin, Wilkes-Barre; Dolores Bolyard, Mine Hill, N.J.; and Bernadette
Betnar, Larksville; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry,
and sister, Connie Huskey, both of California; and numerous nieces and
nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Simon S. Russin
Funeral Home, Inc., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30
a.m. in St. Francis Catholic Church, Miners Mills, with the Rev. Joseph A.
Kearney officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to
Little Flower Manor of the Diocese of Scranton.
