February 1, 2000 nthony J. Padrazis, 85, of Mitchell Street, Pittston, died
Tuesday in Hospice Care of the VNA, Wilkes-Barre. Born Nov. 25, 1914, in
Jenkins Township, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Padrzis. He
attended Jenkins Township schools and was a lifelong resident of the Greater
Pittston area. He worked for Newcomb Coal & Ice Co., and before his retirement
for Blue Ridge Supply and West Side Plumbing Supply, both in Pittston. He
served with Patton’s Army in World War II. He was a member of St. Casimir’s
Roman Catholic Church and the Lithuanian Citizens Club, both in Pittston.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Howe Padrazis; stepsons, John, Orange; Phillip,
Allentown; and Richard, Shavertown; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers,
Frank and Simon. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday from the
Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., Pittston Township, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Casimir’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in
the parish cemetery, Pittston. There will be no calling hours. Memorial
donations may be made to Hospice Care of the VNA or the American Cancer
Society.
