Catholic Schools Week
   
Entertainers put on a real class act
    For almost two hours on Tuesday morning, talent took center stage at Gate of
Heaven School in Dallas.
   
Literally.
   
The Machell Avenue school held its annual Talent Show with more than 60
students in grades three through eight performing in front of the student
body.
   
The school held the talent show as part of its Catholic Schools Week
celebration, said Principal Mary Tigue.
   
Participation was optional – and there were no prizes – but the students
had to audition for the show. Music teacher Susanne Motyka made the final
selection of acts.
   
The performers were Jessica Ryan, dance; Christa Wroblewski, piano; Lauren
Collini and Kristen Evans, dance; Lauren Zook, piano; Alicia Evans, Susan
Krojulski, Jackie Thomas, Lauren Yurko, Krissy Stanks, Melissa Sabol, Ariel
Zurad and Kathleen Paley, dance; Dominick Jose, piano; Beth Gardner, dance;
Lauren Blanc, piano; Kelsey Moody, Christina Marley, Megan Devine, Kendra
Sirak, Molly Kalish, Katie Goode and Kelli Crossin, dance.
   
Other performers were Devin Albrecht, harmonica; Kyle Gallagher, dance;
Casey Baldwin cello; Beth Gardner, Roxanne Bradley, Amanda Kowalek, Kathleen
Garrity and Liz Ryan, dance; Alyson McRipley, piano; Corrine Klug and Lauren
Moyer, dance; Alison Scoble, piano; Antonella Recchia, Rachel Decker, Laura
Nieman and Licia Witt, dance.
