I have to thank the Plains Township road crew. It seems our streets were
cleaned and driveable early Monday morning. I don’t know what time the guys
started their work, but they did a great job and deserve recognition for their
efforts.

And that reminds me to remind you. Throwing your snow on the roads can lead
to a fine. Please find another place to put that snow. Ouch! It’s time for
another application of Ben-Gay on my arms.
So let’s take a look at Plains Talk and see what’s hot this week. // Fire
hydrant alert ///

On Monday, township firefighters were cruising our streets trying to find
fire hydrants buried in snow. This is very bad, especially in the event of a
fire.

Firefighter Mark, our pal with the fire department, told me a lot of
hydrants were submerged under snow banks, and there were quite a few terrific
citizens who helped clean around some hydrants. We all need to make sure
nearby hydrants are visible and ready for use in the event of an emergency.

Jared Wysocki was steaming up the basketball court last week when he scored
his 500th point with Ss. Peter and Paul’s basketball team. He is in the sixth
grade and plays in the Rolling Mill Hill League.

Jared’s coach is Paul Dreabit. The junior varsity game was held at St.
