February 1, 2000 Marlene Sterowski, 78, of Orchard Street, Plymouth, died
Tuesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Bloomingdale, she was a
daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Sneider) Moss. A graduate of Huntington
Township High School, she was a sewing machine operator at Downing Garment,
Plymouth, before retiring. She was a member of St. Mary’s-St. Stephen’s Parish
Community of Plymouth and the Christian Mothers Club of St. Mary’s Nativity
Church, Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore;
brothers, George and William; and sister, Monena Wyantin. Surviving are her
son, Larry, Nanticoke; daughters, Cathy Delaney, Wilkes-Barre; Virginia
Stivers, Ashley; and Becky, at home; eight grandchildren; one
great-granddaughter; brothers, Orion, Newport News, Va.; and Harold,
Mocanaqua; and sister, Eleanor Studds, Colonial Beach, Va. Funeral services
will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Piszczek Funeral Home, Plymouth, with a
Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s Nativity Church. Interment
will be in the parish cemetery, Plymouth Township. Friends may call from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. There will be a prayer service on Friday.
