February 2, 2000 hristopher D. Robinson, 18, of Mountaintop, died Wednesday at
Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born Nov. 26, 1981, in Wilkes-Barre, he
was the son of Dawn and James Rebarchak, of Mountaintop, and Jack Robinson, of
Bald Mountain Estates. He was a senior at Crestwood High School and a member
of St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church, Mountaintop. He was a member of the
National Honor Society and was listed in the Who’s Who of the American High
School Students for his academic achievements. He was scheduled to attend in
March the National Youth Leadership Forum on a full scholarship, with hopes of
attending Bucknell University in the fall and majoring in law. He was preceded
in death by a grandfather, Mike Litchey. Surviving, in addition to his
parents, are his brothers, Matthew Robinson, James Rebarchak Jr., Adam and
Eric, all at home; grandparents, Dolores Litchey, Mountaintop; Loretta and
Cyril Rebarchak, Drums, Butler Township; and Jack and Norma Robinson, Laflin;
great-grandmother, Josephine Yagiello, Bear Creek; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private funeral services will be Monday from the Desiderio Funeral Home, Inc.,
Mountaintop. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St.
Jude’s Church, Mountaintop. Friends may assemble for services at 9:30 a.m.
Monday at St. Jude’s Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Drums,
Butler Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 this afternoon, from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations may be made to The Wyoming Valley AIDS Council, Wilkes-Barre; The
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast Pennsylvania, 16 N. River St., Courthouse
Square Towers, Suite 450, Wilkes-Barre; or Safe Haven Camp for children
infected with AIDS.
