February 3, 2000 ene Lauri, of Pocono Trailer Park, formerly of Cleveland
Street, Hudson, Plains Township, died Thursday at the home of his son, Eugene,
of Bell Air Hills Street, Bellefonte. Born in the Hilldale section of Plains
Township, he was a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Loia) Lauri and a
lifelong resident of Plains Township. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War
II, having served in the Pacific and Atlantic theaters. He was a member of
Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre. He worked at
Apollo Group Electrical, Inc., Wilkes-Barre. He was preceded in death by his
wife, the former Natalie Rock. Surviving, in addition to his son, Eugene, are
his grandchildren, Jinny and Alex; and brother, Herman Lori, of Bristol.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Yeosock Funeral Home,
Plains Township. The Very Rev. Joseph Martin, of Holy Resurrection Russian
Orthodox Cathedral, will officiate. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Parastas services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to
The American Cancer Society.
