The Peace Center will hold a reflection on the ninth anniversary of the
bombing of the Ameriyeh Shelter and a call to end sanctions and bombing
against Iraq at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the basement of St. Nicholas Church, South
Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Ameriyeh was a shelter in the suburbs of Baghdad where civilians were
killed in 1991 when the building was mistaken for a military bunker and
bombed.
