EXETER – A 10-year-old Exeter boy on Sunday was charged with 20 counts of
recklessly endangering another person after he allegedly shot a weapon from
his bedroom window, police said.

The boy also was charged with two counts of criminal mischief, police said.
Exeter police said officers were sent to a borough home on Saturday when
bullet holes were noticed on the side of a home. Police did not disclose the
address or the time the holes were noticed, and they also didn’t release the
name of the boy.

On Sunday, police returned to the home and contacted state police. An
investigation determined the shots were fired from a nearby home. The boy was
interviewed, and he admitted shooting the weapon from his bedroom window,
police said.

The boy was taken to the Luzerne County Juvenile Detention Center, where he
is awaiting a formal hearing, police said.

No additional information was available Sunday night.
