After being in business over 33 years and in talking with other businesses,
there appears to be a consensus that there are basically three main reasons
why people are let go from their jobs:

1) Poor people-skills: Human relations and how we treat others has a major
impact on many areas of our lives and our work.
    2) Bad attitude: Negativity in oneself spills over to others. If in giving
of ourselves, we receive; then in thinking negatively, we rob ourselves and
others of happiness and success.

3. Lack of commitment: In not having a purpose and goals – job included –
we can squander the opportunities we are presented with, and life can
literally pass us by.

These three reasons also explain why we stop doing business with a certain
company, why friendships break, why divorce happens, why governments fail, why
nations can’t get along and why life often isn’t being lived to its fullest
potential.

Yet we have the keys to solve many of the illusions of problems we are
presented with in life. There are really no problems, only opportunities meant
to help us grow and excel. Striving to make people skills, attitude and
commitment top priorities in education and in our and our children’s lives are
very important to our relationships and our quality of life – including our
livelihood. This can undoubtedly go a long way in recovering our humanity and
enhancing the quality of life for all. Truly, in giving of ourselves, we
receive.
