Joan Hudak will celebrate her 90th birthday tomorrow, Dec. 24, 2017. Joan and her husband, Tom, are independent living residents at St. Lukes Villa, Northampton Street, Wilkes-Barre. She graduated from Coughlin High School in 1945. Joan worked as a radiology stenographer for Dr. J. Bruno Sr., a key punch operator at Systematics Data Processing, was past president of the Wyoming Valley Woman’s Club, and is currently a member of the club.
She is the mother of four children: Donald (Joan), of Larksville; Nancy Levin (Mel), of Philadelphia; Robert, of California; and Ricky (Georgeann), deceased. Joan is the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother to great-grandson Caleb.
Joan and Tom will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary in August of 2018.
A family party was held at Pasquales. Her husband says Joan is the best Christmas present anyone could ask for.
