WILKES-BARRE — Jeffrey K. Box, president/CEO of the NEPA Alliance, was recently appointed as chairperson of the Development District Association of Appalachia (DDAA).

The chairperson’s term is for one year that will begin on July 1, 2022, and conclude on June 30, 2023.

The Development District Association of Appalachia is a membership organization of the 73 Local Development Districts (LDD’s) serving 13 states and the 420 counties of the Appalachia Region.

The DDAA works to strengthen LDDs and their member-governments and to provide leadership to support the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) federal-state-local partnership. DDAA is dedicated to promoting community and economic development in Appalachian. DDAA helps the Local Development Districts provide leadership, management expertise, and public services to foster competitive economies and vibrant communities.

The NEPA Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, serves the seven counties of Northeastern Pennsylvania including, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne.

NEPA Alliance services include Business Financing, Government Contracting Assistance, International Trade Assistance, Non Profit Assistance, Transportation Planning, Research and Information.
