DALLAS TWP. — A Misericordia University staffer has been appointed to the Northeastern Pennsylvania Hospital and Higher Education Authority.
Joseph Donahue, of Pittston Township, is the corporate relations coordinator for the Insalaco Center for Career Development at Misericordia.
In his new role, he will be one of six board members who volunteer to oversee the authority, according to a press release from the school.
The authority provides access to the municipal bond market for area health care providers and eligible educational institutions. Through the issuance of bonds, such entities borrow large sums of money.
