Could it actually be spring?
The April Fools’ Day snowfall was well unsettling.
Maybe by starting our spring cleaning, we can usher in the warm weather and sweep out the winter once and for all.
Dollar General has some sales on basic cleaning equipment.
I found a jumbo deck cotton mop for $5.50; a deluxe cotton mop for $3.75 and a small angled broom for $1.75.
Mops are good, but they are great when you team them up with a warm sudsy bucket. I couldn’t find a bucket on sale, but I did find Lysol all-purpose cleaner for $2.25 at Dollar General.
The change of season is also the perfect time to sort through your wardrobe and other belongings and sort out the “wants” from the “not-wanteds.” Items that are in like-new condition that you do not want anymore, Goodwill, The Salvation Army or Volunteers of America will gladly accept.
Another option is take your gently used clothing to a local consignment shop and make a few dollars to stash away.
Items that you want to keep, you can organize in storage totes, which are on sale at Dollar General. They have large totes, 18- to 20-gallon capacity for $6 and a 12-gallon latch tote for $7.
This one is for all the grilling chefs out there. Dollar General has Kingsford Original Charcoal, a 7- to 8.3-pound bag, on sale for $6.50.
My husband and I were just talking last weekend about how much we miss grilling corn on the cob.
Well hold onto your aprons! Price Chopper is advertising the first fresh sweet corn of the season on sale buy three for 99 cents.

Maybe you need a break from all that Easter cooking and baking. Price Chopper-brand macaroni and cheese dinner is on sale for buy three boxes at 89 cents and get two free.
If you are looking for a snack for the kids lunches, Price Chopper has an in-store coupon for $1.77 each on Keebler Fudge Shoppe Cookies, Keebler Town House Crackers or Keebler Sandwich Cracker Packs. You must buy three and have the coupon and your AdvantEdge card.
Brush all the Easter sweets off your teeth by snagging a great deal on Colgate tartar protection with baking soda and peroxide toothpaste for buy one get two free.

ALDI has the start of a dinner on sale. Check out ALDI’s flyer and find baby carrots, 16 ounces, for 59 cents; red potatoes, a five-pound bag, for $1.29; yellow onions, a three-pound bag, 99 cents; and fresh pork sirloin roast for $1.99.
We are all anxious to shed our winter layers. As as much as I love wearing cool boots in the winter, I am just as eager to trade them in for sandals and flip flops.
I found Kmart is offering help to myself and others who are feeling the same way. They are holding a buy one pair of shoes and get a second (of equal or lesser value) free sale. This deal is available for shoes for the whole family.
I did find a couple of in-store coupons in Rite Aid’s circular. You should find a $3 off coupon on Aleve, caplets or tablets, 150 to 200 count; liquid gel caps, 80 to 120 count; or Bayer aspirin, 200 to 300 count.
Rite Aid has a $1 off in-store coupon on L’Oreal Excellence Hair Color. You pay $7.99. Plus, there is a $2 in-store coupon on Almay cosmetics.
