Holy Cross students support Little Sisters

-

The students of Holy Cross High School, Dunmore, conducted several fundraisers throughout the 2014-2015 school year to support the Little Sisters of the Poor’s mission of caring for the elderly poor at Holy Family Residence, Scranton. The students raised $700 and presented a check to Sister Maureen, Little Sisters of the Poor, at the Little Sisters’ golf tournament on June 13. In addition to conducting their own fundraisers, many of the students from Holy Cross High School support the Little Sisters’ efforts of caring for residents by volunteering their time and talents at the Little Sisters’ fundraisers and activities for the residents throughout the year. For more information on supporting the Little Sisters, contact Jackie Galvin, director of development and communications, at 570-343-4065 ext. 3144 or [email protected] At the check presentation, from left, are Ryan McDonald, Tommy Dzwonczyk, Sister Maureen, Angelo Mancinelli and Dom Mancinelli.
